What is a teaser trailer and what purpose does it serve?
In what ways are the teaser trailers different from the normal ones?
Teaser trailer is a short version of an actual trailer. Basically it’s a short version of the upcoming movie which is given to its audience as advertising material. It is aimed to tease the audience meaning that not give away the main point of the movie but just give them a peek to see the movie. Their purpose is not to tell audience what the movie is about but to let them know that the movie is coming up in near future and to hype up the audience about the movie. Teaser trailers are usually made while the movie is still in production this is due to them wanting to let the audience know about the movie and let them express their opinion on the movie.
Movie trailer is form of advertising for the actual film that will be shown in the near future in cinema. Movie trailers have now become very popular on the internet also this is due movie being advertising and convincing audience to go to cinema and watch the movie. Also movie trailers will be longer where teaser trailers are much shorter. This will show how intense is the movie and try to convince audience to watch it by its story board, leave audience envious and wondering. Also the actual movie trailer the scenes that are in it they have to be in the movie, where for the teaser trailer these scenes can be made up or the unused scenes can be put in.
